Details: 1973 Jeep DJ5 ´Ice cream truck´ just in time for SUMMER! This Jeep turns heads every where it goes!!!!!this is a classic delivery jeep that is right hand drive. Was converted from a postal service jeep. Has the original 232 inline 6 engine with automatic transmission. Runs smooth and great around town. The odometer reads 32,152, but is more likely 132,152 considering the jeep is almost 40 years old. There´s not much to the interior, all the gauges work, as well as the interior lights. Has the original and working heater/fan box. with all the knobs. (rare) Has a Custom parcel shelf above the front window that has a wide view mirror, the radio/speakers and the Ice cream truck music box. Yes it plays music though the PA speaker on top of the jeep. Also has a 1000w power inverter under seat for running a freezer. I also have a custom built insulated cold box w/ 2 lid doors that takes up one side of the interior. Just add dry ice and ice cream. There are a few small surface rust spots where the paint got scuffed off the metal but none of the metal is rusted through. The same goes for the exterior. Has a few small rust spots but no through corrosion. (all things considered the years this jeep spent delivering mail rain, snow, or shine) I can Send more pic´s upon request. Things Unique to DJ-5 jeeps:Has a Dana 44 rear end, with a limited slip diff. (DJ- 5s where given the limited slip diff because they ARE NOT 4x4. but needed an aid in the varioius conditions that the mail has to be delivered in. the limited slip was not incorperated in jeep CJ5 of the same time )Also the frame is completly boxed end to end. (was done because of the higher carrying capacity requirements.) This is a great little jeep that i bought for my wife, HOWEVER because im military and we have a 1 year old, we´re not in a financial position to start her own business.
