Details: Having to part with my baby, the funnest vehicle I´ve ever owned! I´m selling my 1983 Jeep CJ-7, classic Jeep rugged good looks and built tough to have fun in the dirt. It´s a 4.3 liter straight 6 cylinder, since I´ve bought it I´ve rebuilt the front axle with new ball joints upper and lower, and u-joints. I´ve changed out the gear lube in the axles, transmission, and transfer case with synthetic gear lube to help the mileage. I´ve also put a ´new´ (rebuilt) carburetor on it. These years had whats called an electronic feedback carburetor which didn´t end up working so well. I put on a carburetor from a 1978 which doesn´t have the electronic parts but otherwise bolts on and works great. As you can tell from the pics it isn´t perfect but for not being restored it is really good condition for its year. I´ve never driven it in the winter and neither did the last 3 owners, which explains why the floor isn´t totally rusted out. Front floor pans are solid with no rust holes, the rear wheel wells have a little rot towards the front (very common in CJ7s). It has a good set of road tires on it. Nice aluminum OEM wheels. It runs pretty good. I´ve gone through and tuned it up, spark plugs, wires, cap, rotor, and ignition coil. Also its had new front brakes rotors and pads, the rears looked good when I inspected them 2 years ago, new shocks all the way around, I put in a new speedo the old one was bouncing a lot from to magnets wearing out . It has manual brakes meaning non power, and manual steer, heat and vent work great. Comes with tan hard top and a set of hard doors. Great for a project or a driver.
