Other new parts include exhaust and intake manifold gaskets (late last summer), starter, clutch, and rear driveline ujoints (all within the last couple weeks). As much as I hate to use such an over-used CraigsList phrase - unless you have access and skills to a shop and raw materials, you cannot built a similar rig for my asking price (including vehicle cost plus parts/labor). Having said that, the price is negotiable to a point, I know what things are worth, and lowball offers will be politely declined.As much as I hate to put her up for sale, it is time for me to part with Little Miss.This is a fairly long posting, but I tried to list everything I could think of since I´ve owned her over the past six years. If you have any questions after reading everything, want some more pictures, or what-have-you, feel free to email and I´ll get what you´re looking for back to you as quickly as possible.She´s a well-built rig, only thing she could use is some 4.56 gears to match the tires and possibly a rear locker. I never bothered with either as the gas mileage is decent (it´s a Jeep, not a hybrid), there´s enough power on tap to keep 90% of those damn buzzy imports in check between the traffic lights (she´ll cruise the highway at 70-75 in 5th just fine), and even with open differentials she´ll run damn near ever trail at Walker Valley and Evan´s Creek without any issues. Creative lines are sometimes required, but the only times I´ve gotten stuck have been due to oversized ruts or the occasional fallen tree.On to the details...1994 Jeep Cherokee (XJ) Sport, 4.0L HO, AX-15 (5-speed), NP231, HPD30, Ford 8.8 (31-sp, disc), 158xxx miles. Daily driver, weekend warrior so mileage will change. Mainly drive her to work (4 miles), around town, and occasionally to Puyallup and Seattle. Haven´t gotten a lot of trail-time in the past year either, another reason it´s time to let her go to a new owner - figure someone out there could use a ready-to-go rig and wheel throughout the year.Basic history: Purchased from a dealership in Bothell back in the latter half of 2006 with 76xxx miles on the clock, and bone-stock. Involved in one minor accident while I´ve owned it, got t-boned in the rear axle by a Celica. Celica was totalled, Jeep survived unscathed minus the centering pin on the passenger leaf-spring. Kind of a moot point as the axle has since been replaced with a stronger unit.Since she´s my daily driver and weekend warrior and has been for the past 6 years, there are dents, dings, and scratches of varying size on a good number of the body panels. Nothing is seriously smashed, mangled, or otherwise disfigured. All the doors open and close just fine, the windows and doors seal properly. There are no panel gap interference or fitment issues, everything fits and works just like the day it came of the factory, the panels just have slightly different lines and curves due to that ornery ol´ bat Mother Nature.Categorized Modifications:Engine:K&N intake, TB spacer, header, 2´ downpipe to hi-flo Magnaflow cat, 2.5´ pipe to dump over there rear axle (no muffler). Sounds pretty damn good, nice throaty tone cruising around town and downright snarls at full-throttle. Nice crackle and pop on the over-run. Swapped in 136-amp alternator from a V8 Dakota, runs at 14-volts all the time no matter what you have on. I can run the headlights, wipers, heater (full blast) and the system (1000w sub) and the headlights never dim. Essentially the basic engine modifications plus a little extra.Axles/Drivetrain/Suspension:Stock HPD30 front with HD 3/8´ LCA mounts, EBC slotted/vented discs with Greenstuff pads. ZJ draglink and tierod.Ford 8.8 rear axle swapped in from a 97+ Ford Explorer, axle has 31-spline axleshafts along with disc-brakes and the proper proportioning valve and e-brake cables plus 4* shims. Bolt pattern matches the front so the wheels can be rotated.33x12.50R15 Goodyear MTR Kevlar tires, full warranty from Discount Tire. Rotated religiously every 3000 miles, balanced every other visit. They don´t take very much weight at all the balance, and they just straight up work damn near everywhere - on dry/wet/snowy roads, mud, sand, rocks, loose dirt, gravel... you name it. Ice, eh... nothing works well on ice except studs and chains, and chains for a 33´ tire are ungodly expensive. Way easier and cheaper to engage the 4wd and carry on like it´s nothing ;)AX-15 transmission (5-spd), LuK ProGold clutch kit installed 18-months ago along with a new throwout and pilot bearings. New slave cylinder assembly installed roughly two-years ago. The clutch was replaced due to it starting to slip, bearings were fine but replaced anyway since I had everything apart. Slave cylinder was replaced attempting to troubleshoot a dead clutch pedal (turned out to be a broken linkage assembly, has since been welded and re-inforced).NP231 transfer-case, 6-pinion and widechain from Dodge NP231, Rubicon Express Hack´n´Tap SYE with Rubicon Express CV-style rear driveshaft.Suspension is a hybrid setup, all components from Rubicon Express. It started as a Superflex 3.5´ short-arm kit. Upgraded to Rubicon Express Long-Arms and added another inch for a total of 4.5´. Rear leafs are full lift packs, no blocks, no add-a-leafs. Rubicon Express Twintube shocks on all four corners, Rubicon Express GenII quick-disconnects with mounts (no ghetto straps, bungee cords, etc required when disconnected). Rubicon Express adjustable track-bar, and 22´ braided stainless steel brake lines around out the package.Other Miscellaneous Modifications:Full leather interior from a Grand CherokeeAJ´s SuperRail rock slidersTreks (TnT Customs) 3/16´ unibody stiffenersElectric fan wired to switch and relay for full manual control (you can leave the switch on all the time if you wish, it´s wired to an ignition-hot wire so it doesn´t run 24/7, only when the key is turned)GenRight hood vents to combat any overtemp issues when offroad, but the rig has never overheated on me so they´re more of a precaution then a necessary thingC4x4 tow hooks and reinforced bracketsOptima RedTop battery, 4-ga charging system wiring harness (currently not installed, took it off to measure out the proper wire lengths to build a harness for a friend. Can re-install if desired, or you can either way works for me)Uniden 510 CB radio w/ 4´ Firestik antenna55w reverse lights (wired in properly to stock wiring, the turn on automatically when you engage reverse)20% tint on all windows (never been hassled by the police for it)Pioneer Premiere headunit (sub, box, amp, and associated wiring are not included)Trimmed fenders with YJ flares to keep the police happy. Quick-disconnect mudflap mounts, I lost the mudflaps in our recent move to a different house. If it´s a source of concern, I can make a new set of mudflaps for you. For what it´s worth, I get pulled over maybe once a month and get a verbal warning regarding the lack of mudflaps.
