The 4x4 works great and the vehicle has been taken well care of over the years. It has a 1´ lift and 31´ tires, so it looks better than a stock Jeep. Details: I previously had this listed and had my cell phone stolen with the numbers that had contacted me. I have for sale a 1996 Jeep Cherokee Sport 4x4. It has a 4.0 v6 with 147k miles on it. Also has a 4.5 inch long arm lift kit, sky jacker shocks, and 33 inch tires. It is inspected. Is currently not running because fuel pump is disconnected. I bought the jeep a few days ago with the knowledge that it just needed some minior work on the brakes and rocker panel rust. I then found out that i had a leaking seal where the fuel pump attaches to the gas tank. i have all the parts, the tank just has to be hooked up to the pump for it to run again. Ran strong when i was taking it home, just had the typical jeep death wobble. This could be a great parts jeep or repair for somebody. Would need to be towed from my yard due to the fuel pump being disconnected. Details: The jeep has 216,000 miles on it. It has some rust on it under the doors minor fix,also while i putting in a new cencor from the engine to the transmission the 4 wheel drive shaft fell and the pins fell out i have the drive shaft still just have had no time to go find the part to fix it. I put close to 1100 into this jeep. It runs great the engine and transmission run excellent. I put a new cencor in also a new starter and alternator and muffler and exhaust pipe. It has leather interior and a cd player. We just had a baby and bought another vehicle and i use the jeep just for getting to work ( i work just a few blocks away from my house).and to my hockey games.My mechanic said i could get close to 1800 for the jeep because the transmission and engine alone are worth around 1100 and worse case i junk it after that and i get 400 for that and then minor parts in it. I´m trying to be as honest and knowledgeable about the condition of this vechile so your not left with any surprises....With that being said please understand that this is a 29 year old Jeep. It is not brand new........It is not currently PA inspected nor do I have insurance on it at the moment. The reason for selling: This is/was a father-son working project that I have ran out of time on. I work 55 hours a week, am remodeling my new house, and in the process of moving. I just have no time! lol. She´s got a lot of life in her yet, and would like for somebody who has the time to enjoy her as I have!The Bad First: The jeep is 29 years old and is in pretty good shape for the year, knowing what I have seen out there. It does have the Northeast ´typical Jeep rust´. Floor boards (driver and passenger side have been replaced), around the rear tailgate hinges (bondoed),around the windshield frame (bondoed), bottom of doors (bondoed) and the gas tank skid plate protector is almost gone and should be replaced.. (PLEASE LOOK at PICS!) The frame has surface rust as much of the underneath does. It was apparently undercoated at one time in its life which I imagine helped to preserve from rot. I have always threw a fresh coat of spray paint on to minimize the rust from spreading.The horn is not hooked up (when the power steering was installed never bothered to hook up) The fuel gauge works sometimes (its gotta mind of its own) the emergency brake does not function and will need new cables and hardware.The radio works but I have removed the speakers (they are not included).The Good: The Jeep runs fantastic and is very strong, Idols well, It shifts thru the gears effortlessly, has a ton of torque,and can still chirp the tires thru the gears.It had a tune up approx . 2 years ago (new plugs,wires,distributor,cap,belts,fluids, etc.) The alternator is new, the battery is new, the power steering setup is new, the tires are new (approx 1000 miles), the exhaust pipe and muffler are new,wipers are new. The 4x4 works great (manual hubs) and transfer case shift smooth. All of the gauges and lights work including the plow lights (minus the fuel gauge mentioned above). Has amazing heat, and has edelbrock manual choke for those cold mornings.I have also added a tachometer on top of the steering colum which works great.The Plow was installed about 2 years ago: I think I have plowed with it maybe 5 times total. I never did any commerical plow jobs just my small gravel driveway and my Mothers driveway. It works great, has tremendous down pressure and operates flawlessly.I have some additional diamond plate parts not yet installed. One piece to go along the bottom of the windshield where the wiper arms are , and one piece to go on the tailgate where the hinges are. (I personally love that rugged look of diamond plate...can ya tell? lol) they are included in sale.Payment: I have a clear PA title in hand. Payment to be made in Cash in person upon pickup. I Stress CASH ONLY....Shipping: Buyer is responsible for pickup and or all shipping cost. I will NOT deliver. I would not recommend driving long distances with the plow attached. You may want to make arrangements for seperate transport of the plow blade. I can assist with loading.Note: Cash Talks, and the first one that wants to play Jonny on the spot with the cash wins..........I have never driven more than about 40-50 miles away from home in this Jeep. Post Office, Bank, My mothers, bar, favorite fishing hole, etc. Its always been good to me but I have absolutly no way of knowing if it will make it cross country to California or down South to Florida........I am not Nostrodamus........ Jeep can be viewed by appointment if your seriously interested , I encourage you to come and inspect , as I´m not by any means a certified mechanic.
