This Jeep is clean and drives very smooth even at high speeds. The tint makes it look so much better with the black paint. When I got it back the rear driver side window was broken out and the steering column was broken and it had a radiator leak ( think it is just the bottom hose). Outside of some dents on one fender the body is in very good condition, it has good stickers until January. I just replaced all the ball joints and it runs good. You have to start it with a screw driver but if you bring some gas it can be driven home. Also the odometer reads 246,625 but there was a lower mileage motor put in it before I bought it. Details: 2000 Jeep Cherokee4.0L autoAM/FM CassetteNew inspection. good til 5/13Up until a few weeks ago, this was my daily driver.But I have succumbed to the high price of gas and had to buy a more fuel efficient vehicle for my lengthy commute. I have checked the mileage and it seems to be consistent at 19 -- 20 MPG. Of course that´s my light foot and your results may be different.It runs great but the body needs some attention.The worst of which...The right side rocker panel is shot and the left side is starting to go. The inner panels are still ok. There is also a rust spot on the LR door. I have been told there is a draft in the floor near the passengers´ feet. I replaced the AC compressor a few years back because the clutch went bad and never had the system recharged so I don´t know if a simple recharge would bring it back to life or not.Sometimes the passenger power window will be stubborn. It seems to be a bad connection near the master switches in the drivers door because I popped the panel off and jiggled the wires and it starts working again. The rear turn signals sometimes both come on when signaling a left turn. I believe it to be caused by a faulty hazard flasher switch. The rear gate no longer stays up by itself.The windshield also has a crack way down low. Both of these problems were present when I bought the jeep 10+ years ago and it always passed state inspection so I never bothered having it repaired.Last year I had the front end redone. 4 new ball joints, wheel bearings and new axle u-joints. The 4WD works great. I also replaced the muffler, the original pipes are still solid. The tires only have a few thousand miles on them and look like new.I have driven this vehicle for the last 135K+ miles for a total of 163K. It has never left me down and I see no reason why it wont keep on keeping on.It is what it is, a 12 year old vehicle with some miles on it. If you´re looking for a war horse to get you around in the PA winters, this old girl is up to the task. Additionally the center counsel lid needs reattached (I may try to fix it). There is only one previous owner (my aunt) and she took very good care of this vehicle. It was parked in the garage every night. I have had ownership of the Jeep since about 2008ish and it was also well maintained and kept in a garage until August 2011 when I relocated.
