Details: I have a 1979 Jeep CJ5. I have owned this Jeep for over 11 years, and did a frame off restoration about 10 years ago, using all brand new parts from FourWheelDriveHardware and Quadratec. The body, fenders, and hood are all fiberglass (top of the line from AJ´s). The color is actually in the gel coat of the fiberglass, not painted on. Inside of the body tub is also red gel coat. LOTS of stainless steel, no chrome. Seats are in great shape and were put in brand new. Radio works but has a short; you´ll want a new radio. The AMC 304 V8 has been bored out 0.030´ and has a Holley 4-barrel carb sitting on top. You don´t want to drive this thing for the gas mileage. 3 speed T-150 transmission is virtually indestructible. Runs and shifts great, 4 wheel drive engages easily. New Warn hubs installed a few years ago as well. The exhaust is a true dual exhaust running straight back from the headers. No catalytic converter on this thing; I have it registered as a classic car. You won´t pass any emissions tests with this Jeep.The frame, bumpers, and suspension parts have surface rust on them, but nothing terrible. Rear bumper is custom from Quadratec that I welded into the frame during the restoration. I´ve done so much to this Jeep that you won´t need to do any big items. It could use a lot of little touch ups though: new radio, sand and paint the front bumper, maybe soften the suspension by replacing the rear leaf springs, installing some rear seatbelts. I have some ~4´ lift shackles that I can let go with it, as well as a drop pitman arm for the steering box.If you´re just looking for parts, I have lots of extras so just send me an email and ask. I have a full electrical harness, roll bar, and many other things that I will be trying to sell soon.Asking price: $9500 with the hard top (which is brand new fiberglass), or $7500 with a BestTop SuperTop soft top.
