Details: Rare, great looking and functioning 4X4!!!! I have had this Jeep for about 4 years and have loved driving it. I get thumbs up and people asking about it all the time; almost every time I get gas someone approaches me and asks about it. Several people have put notes on it saying how nice it is. It has a Chevy 292 6 cylinder with great low end torque (super simple maintenance), a 4 speed manual transmission, Dana 20 transfer case, and Dana 44 axles (wide track) with Warn locking hubs. It was restored in 2007 and has been in Buffalo for only 3 winters. I didn´t drive it this winter, so overall there is very minimal rust. It has a rear disc brake conversion (with emergency brake), all upgraded gauges, nice interior with Tuffy locking console, heavy duty winch, custom made bumpers front and rear with rear tow hitch. It has been a lot of fun driving but I just finished graduate school and need to sell to help pay off some loans. I have over 15K in to it so this is a great deal. Keep in mind that this is from a time when Jeeps were part road vehicle and part tractor (low gearing) and it is quite loud on the road, especially with the larger tires. I have driven it from Tennessee (where I bought it) to Utah and from Utah to Buffalo. Come check it out if interested. Thanks for looking. Dont the let mileage fool, you...these vehicle run for 200k when mainted right. My bros has a mechanics shop in Lancaster so when ever this vehicle needed any work dont..it was taken care of and done right!- remote doors / starter- tow package with hitch wiring and ball attachement (2´). On occasion I used to tow my utility trailer with no problem.The Pros and cons are as follows:PROS: CLEAN TITLE- just passed inspection on 5-14-2012. NO ISSUES INCURRED.-Very well maintained, constant oil changes every 5k miles (approx). latest improvements (approx 1 year ago) include but not limited to the following: Front wheel bearings, CV joints replaced (Both sides). Transmission pulled, inspected internally and reworked. Front differential removed and rebuilt last year or so, all ball joints, idler arms, brakes and universal joints were inspected last fall and replaced what ever was questionable. (im fussy that way, dont like suprises). - 4 wheel drive works great for winter..I never have to shovel my driveway...just go right thru it all!This vehicle is in great mechanical shape and very reliable!CONS:- drivers side quarter panel starting to bubble (See pic).. Those of you who know how to do body work..this should be a minor issue. typical of small area on front hood. If your a body man then these issues should be little troble for U.- Tires are decent for this summer and fall but I would consider replacing them before winter.- The a/c system needs to be recharged. Last year I had work done on the heat system (control module ). The mechanics had to empty the system in order to remove it so they could service the system (replaced control module). I never had it refilled since it was winter at the time.- Noise - Occasionally, not always... when the vehicle is under a hard braking condition..I hear a noise under the vehicle that sounds like a marble rolling down a table top. The mechanics put it up on the hoist and went thru the vehicle thuroughly which is why i had them inspect and replace the front CV joints, bearings and pulled the transmission to see if those issues where the cause of this noise. To date (its been about 2 years now) We have NOT been able to locate the source of this noise. It doesnt appear to affect the operation / functionality of the vehicle so I am at a loss as to what is causing the noise. I can tell you that it is not the CV joints, brakes, front diffferential, or transmission or universal joints. I just keep on driving it because it doesnt appear to be a problem..just on occasional noise issue. - Bumper covers have some scratches etc.Overall this is a VERY reliable vehicle!If you have any questions please text or call (716) 430-9210 (Tim). Details: Body and interior are in good condition, mechanics (suspension, steering, etc) are good, engine ran great when it was taken off the road. it has some various parts, (radiator, driver door, odds and ends here and there) that were used for my other Jeep. I have another drivers side door, but it needs latch work. Not sure if I could get the engine to run, but I´m sure I could at least hook up a battery and at least turn it over. The frame got scrunched up (Passenger side behind the front wheel), not sure if the frame can be fixed. (If it can, it would take about an additional $600 - $800 in parts to fix and put on the road). 2 Tires won´t hold air, it will need to be flatbedded or towed with the front tires free-floated.It has full options, heated leather seats, ac, power seats/windows, compass and temp readings, etc. There´s very little rust on it, the bottom of the doors and rear hatch have some.Tranny, xfer case and rear axle are in good working condition. Details: I´ve owned the car since June of 2010 and put 30k on it since without any major issue at all. Specs:2000 Jeep Cherokee Sport 4x44.0L Inline 6Auto143,xxx miles. AM/FM/CD Currently has brand new snow tires on stock wheels with <500 miles on them. Also available: 15´ American Racing wheels painted black. The tires on these wheels aren´t great, though and probably can´t make it through another season.Reason for selling:As stated above, I upgraded to a new car. I would actually be keeping this thing if I had the room for it. Exterior: 7.5/10 Overall clean but some minor rust starting up. Interior: 8.5/10 Cleans up very well. The good:- Just inspected in October 2011.-Overall the truck runs very well and is solid, especially having 140k+ miles on it. I´ve taken it on long road trips without any issues. - Has U-haul tow hitch with plug. - Clean truck that still shines up when washed. - Comes with a free tape-to-headphone jack adapter. (see bad list)- New alternator- New PCM (Common issue on these)The bad:-Tape adapter is stuck in the stereo. It came out once on it´s own. I opted to pop her back in there so that I could still listen to my phone when driving and it has not re-surfaced since. - As stated, minor rust forming. - Front door speakers don´t work. This is a common issue. The wires leading through the door chafe as the door is opened/closed then eventually wear out and break. The speakers are fine, it´s just the wires that need to be reconnected. So if you´re looking for a winter beast that is actually comfortable enough to drive all year, this is a pretty good option. It does everything a Jeep should. Which includes guzzling gas and handling like a fridge. And here are the american racing wheels that can be sold with it as well.
