Details: It has come time to sell my 1967 M715 Kaiser Jeep 1 1/4 ton truck. Right now the truck is in project mode, because I decided that I wanted to see what a 1 1/4 ton Jeep could do when you put it on updated axles and wheels and tires. So I threw a rebuilt set of 4.56 geared and locked front and rear out of a CUCV truck. The truck that the axles came out of, only had 14000 mi on it. But I went ahead and rebuilt both axles with all new Timkin bearings and seals from Yukon Gear. Then I added a set of chromoly axle shafts in the rear. Then I did some measuring and decided that 6´ 1977 Suburban lift springs from Pro Comp, coupled with Riff Stuff Specialties mounts, would get the truck sitting pretty. Once all of the suspension and underside was worked out, a full cage was then put in with 2´ tubing! The stock drivetrain was then ditched in favor of a more upgraded one with a lot more oomph! A 396ci was found from a ´69 Chevelle. That engine was completely rebuilt with the stock forged crank and then a set of forged Manley rods went in place of the stock cast rods. On top of those, a set of Icon forged racing pistons in 4.155 bore. Making the final numbers on this particular engine a 409ci. The cam is straight out of Comp Cams´ book and favors torque over horsepower for those mountains that just won´t let you win. With a fully surfaced crank, balanced, and I did the blue printing myself! The numbers on this particular engine should be over 500hp and over 600 tq. The stock heads were ditched in favor of a set of #781 heads from a 454. Those heads have over 100 hours worth of porting and then big Manley valves were added, along with all new Comp springs, retainers and locks. The stock transmission was no longer useful for what I designed the truck to do. So I picked up a SM465 2wd trans so that I would be able to run divorced transfer cases and have my front and rear driveshafts the same length. Well that´s basically where I am at with the truck. With 46´ Goodyear MV/T´s and 20´ Stazworks wheels...the truck is just a monster! I do not have a garage door that this truck will even come close to fitting into! The tallest point on the truck is the snorkel, which measures to 8´9´. Like I said, the truck is currently still a project. So you will need to have a truck and trailer to haul the vehicle away.I am done messing with this gorgeous piece of history. I so badly wanted to make it my own and drive the hell out of it. I AM interested in certain trades. I am not going to explain the amount of money in my truck, you can figure that out.
